The app grows with your child

Three modes. One single progression.

The pedagogy doesn't change with age — the presentation does. Same mastery engine; an interface that feels right at 6, at 12, and at 17.

Adventure, levels, weekly league

The same skill tree presented as a world map. XP, streaks, daily quests, and healthy competitive leaderboards.

  • World map with bosses at the end of each hex
  • Anonymous weekly league against other tweens
  • Visible metrics so the tween owns their progress

Non-negotiable principles

Designed around how kids actually want to learn

10 minutes a day, max

Sessions are tight on purpose. Long enough to make progress, short enough to leave the kid wanting more.

No login for the kid

Only the parent ever signs in. The kid just opens the app and starts practicing.

Mastery, not drills

Skills are not 'covered' — they are demonstrated. Accuracy and fluency together unlock the next block.

Zero guilt for the kid

Missed-day notifications go to the parent, never to the kid. We protect the relationship with the app.

The skill map

A map of skills, not a never-ending list

Every program is built as a tree of small, testable skills, grouped into hexagonal blocks. The kid can see exactly what is mastered, what is being practiced, and what is still ahead.

  • Each hex unlocks the next when the block is mastered.
  • Mastered skills come back as 20% spiral review in every new session.
  • When the system sees real readiness, it suggests the block test.
How it works

From first practice to graduation

  1. 01

    Placement test

An adaptive 5–10 minute test finds where your kid is really comfortable, per program — not where the school year says they should be.

  2. 02

    Daily practice

Short blocks of 10 mixed exercises: 8 from the current hex, 2 spiral review of mastered skills.

  3. 03

    Readiness thermometer

A multi-signal check (mastery + recent score + time + volume) decides when to suggest the block test — never forcing it cold.

  4. 04

    Block test, next hex

Pass the test (≥85%) and the next hex unlocks. Don't pass? Weak skills surface and practice continues, no shame.

Practice with spiral review

10 exercises a day — 8 new, 2 review.

Every session mixes practice from the current hex with random review of already-mastered skills. What's learned doesn't fade, and the thermometer knows when you're really ready to level up.

20% spiral review

Mastered skills come back every session, distributed over time.

Multi-signal thermometer

Mastery + recent score + time + volume → suggests the test, never forces it.

Frequently asked

Questions parents ask first

Is it really free?
Yes — completely free while we're in beta, no credit card needed. After beta we'll launch a single family plan (one price, all kids in the family). We'll let you know weeks ahead, and your beta data carries over.
What ages does it work for?
From 5 to 18 (K-12). The interface adapts: pre-readers get audio narration and big mascots; tweens get RPG-style maps and weekly leagues; teens get a clean productivity dashboard with timers and metrics. The pedagogy doesn't change — only the presentation.
Does it work on tablet, phone, or computer?
All of them. Rodybee is a web app — open it in any browser. On phone or tablet you can also "add to home screen" so it behaves like an installed app, no app-store download needed.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in your browser. If you want it to feel like a native app, we'll prompt you to add it to your home screen — that's it.
Are there any ads?
Never. No ads, no third-party tracking, no upsells in the kid's session. Kids practice. Parents see clean reports.
Does my kid need to log in?
No. Only the parent ever signs in. The kid taps their bee on the picker and starts practicing — no email, no password to remember.
What about privacy?
Kid data stays inside your family account. We don't sell data, we don't share with advertisers, and the kid never sees a tracker. The full policy lives at /privacy.
How much time per day?
Sessions are designed for 15–20 minutes — long enough to make real progress, short enough that the kid wants to come back tomorrow. The system never asks for more.
Which languages are supported?
English and Spanish — both the interface and the curriculum content (instructions, explanations, hints). Each kid can use a different language than the parent.
Does it work offline?
Not yet — current sessions need a connection. Offline practice is on the roadmap once we ship the native PWA cache.
