Curriculum & Standards · Algebra 2

Algebra 2 — the densest program of the world's high-school math, calibrated to CCSS + Cambridge AS + Singapore JC + IB.

From the definition of a logarithm to complex numbers in polar form. Logs and applied exponentials (compound interest, half-life), advanced polynomials with the factor and rational-root theorems, rational and radical functions with full graph analysis, the entire unit circle and trigonometric identity machinery, infinite geometric series, matrices and 3×3 linear systems, combinatorics culminating in the binomial theorem, conditional probability and Bayes' rule, the normal distribution with z-scores, the four conic sections in standard form, and complex number arithmetic — all aligned to the union of CCSS HS, Cambridge International AS 9709, Singapore JC1 H2 and IB Mathematics AA SL.

Why Algebra 2 is the gateway to STEM university

Algebra 2 is the densest program in any HS math curriculum: it introduces functions of every major family (logarithmic, trigonometric, rational, radical, exponential beyond linear), the algebra of complex numbers and matrices, and the statistical machinery that connects high school to university calculus and data science. The TIMSS Advanced cohort consistently shows that students who master this content perform best in PISA-Adv and STEM admissions worldwide. Rodybee tracks the union of CCSS, Cambridge AS, Singapore H2 and IB AA SL.
